Rigor’s robust Monitoring and Optimization APIs allow our customers to make the most of their data.
While many of our customers are familiar with our API, there are some features which might not be as well known. In this article, I’m going to outline three awesome features of the Monitoring API that help users maximize Rigor.
This article on our Knowledge Base breaks down how Rigor rolls up data and is the first place you should start.
Tip 1: Pull Your Data Into Google Sheets
There is the option to write query strings that call the API, but what if you’re not very familiar with APIs? Or you are looking for a quick and easy way to collect your run data?
We wanted to make it as easy as possible to use the API, so we built a script for Google sheets that allows you to easily populate data from the API into a spreadsheet.This script is publicly hosted on Github, here: https://github.com/Rigor/LoadTimesTool.

Tip 2: Pull Performance KPIs
Based on customer feedback, we added a slew of new metrics that you can report on both in-app and via API. As a result, another great use for the Monitoring API is to pull reporting data, like our new Performance KPIs!

Tip 3: Create Real Browser Checks
Sometimes, you may need to create a lot of checks at once. If you want to do so without having to log in to the app and manually add each one, this feature will be useful because, based on popular customer demand, you can now create Real Browser checks via the Monitoring API!
