We all know that performance defects can greatly hamper your user’s experience. While it’s better to catch performance defects before they are released live into production, this doesn’t always happen. When a performance issue is live, it’s important for the right people on your team to know as quickly as possible, so they can get to work fixing it.

Monitoring notifications are crucial to responding to performance defects, because no one likes false alarms, especially in the middle of the night. At the same time, too few notifications can mean that outages go undetected and impact users.

We recently updated our notifications, to help our customers more effectively collaborate and respond to performance issues.

New User Interface

Notifications can now easily be managed via the Notifications tab to help manage which notifications are sent to whom.

The default recipient of notifications for Real Browser Checks is the person creating the check. But, what if a group of people on your team are working on a project and want to know about any defects? You can set notifications to alert multiple recipients and you can enter a non-Rigor user to receive alerts.

Perhaps you have an engineering lead or manager that wants to be alerted if there have been multiple failures or if a notification hasn’t been addressed in a certain amount of time? This is now easy to set up. Additionally, Rigor users can verify that notifications were sent to guarantee that the right person received them.
