If you have ever used Zoompf, Rigor’s web performance optimization product, you already know that it can collect your site’s content, analyze it with hundreds of curated optimization checks, identify any performance defects, and provide step-by-step instructions for making your site faster.
We’re happy to announce 4 new features that make it even easier to see the most important performance problems and to customize how Rigor detects, scores, and displays your results. With Rigor, now you can:
- Mute defects to hide results that aren’t important to you.
- Change the severity of defects to prioritize what you feel are the most important defects first.
- Control the threshold of a check, to refine how bad a problem needs to be before Rigor will flag it as a defect.
- Define custom thresholds for our checks so you can use Rigor to enforce your own internal performance guidelines and best practices.
We’ve prepared a short video showing off how these great new features make it easier to focus on the most important and impactful performance issues with your site:
The best part about these new customizations is that they don’t change how Rigor actually finds performance issues. For example, if you mute 30 defects from your results, we continue to check for those defects on all future scans. These new customizations don’t change the scope of how we test your site for performance issues. They simply act as filters that determine whether we show you a problem or how a problem impacts your overall score. This means at any time you can unmute a defect, change a severity, or lower a threshold, and instantly see what problems your site has.
You can learn about these new features in the Optimization Customizations article on the Rigor Knowledge Base.
Do you wish you had more control over how tools like WebPageTest, YSlow, or PageSpeed flags performance problems? Then you will love Rigor’s performance monitoring and analysis platform.
